WHAT CAN I EXPECT AS FAR AS COMMUNICATION?

We believe the way to provide the best care for your child, is through parent communication and partnership.

Communication will take place daily during drop-offs and pick-ups.
Through our school app, parents will receive photos, videos, and/or notes about special moments and updates on their child.

HOW DO YOU REDIRECT CHILDREN?

Social emotional development is a vital part of early childhood education. We all need to feel heard and understood, and we support students in learning to identify and talk through their feelings. We help our students begin to develop self control and interpersonal skills, as well as guide them through peaceful conflict resolution.

Teacher’s practice positive guidance in the following ways.

  • Let children know what they can and can’t do (set limits).

  • Model the behavior you want to see.

  • Give children choices.

  • Talk about children’s feelings.

  • Praise children for their good behavior choices.

  • Provide a variety of engaging activities.

WHAT TYPES OF FOODS DO YOU SERVE?

Parents receive monthly snack menus.
A lot of our snacks are part of our curriculum. Baking together in the fall, hearty soups in the winter and spring salads with most ingredients harvested by students in our greenhouse.

We serve only fresh fruits and vegetables, whole grains and organic dairy.

Children are encouraged, but never forced to eat.

Finding the right care for your child is one of the most important decisions your family will make, and we know you will have further questions of your own.

We welcome the opportunity to answer any questions you may have.
